Mall of Switzerland Lucerne

The Mall of Switzerland in Ebikon near Lucerne opened to the public on 8 November 2017. Switzerland’s second-largest shopping and leisure centre is home to 150 retail outlets, bars, cafes and restaurants, as well as exceptional leisure and recreation amenities. The shopping and leisure centre on the edge of Lucerne City is the most ambitious project of its kind for a long time. Boasting 65 000 m2 of commercial floor space, the Mall of Switzerland ranks second in terms of size after Spreitenbach’s Shoppi Tivoli mall (78 000 m2) built in 1970. The new retail centre is ideally located and has a number of attributes designed to ensure it gets off to a good start: in common with other malls such as Sihlcity in Zurich and Westside near Bern, the Mall of Switzerland in Ebikon is much more than a shopping centre, in that it incorporates leisure and family offerings. Aside from the retail outlets, it includes a multiplex cinema boasting no fewer than 12 screens, Switzerland’s largest IMAX Cinema screen, a massive indoor adventure playground and a range of sporting activities including the country’s first indoor surfing installation. The mall benefits from excellent transport links, having its own bus and S-Bahn railway station, a motorway slip road leading directly to the parking facility, and spacious covered cycle parking.
