Networked and comprehensive
The Swiss company Swiss Casinos Holding AG has interests in five casinos across Switzerland – 100% in Zurich, Pfäffikon and Schaffhausen, 98% in St. Gallen and almost one-third in Bern. The Swiss Casinos St. Gallen is located in the Radisson Blu Hotel and was designed by the renowned casino architect Paul Steelman. The interior promises glamour and a hint of the 1970s, yet also impresses thanks to its clear, modern lines. Ten gaming tables and around 180 slot machines across over 1,500 m2 invite guests to relax and enjoy a game or two.
At the end of last year, the existing analogue video surveillance system was completely replaced with a modern installation featuring IP-based dome cameras and the intelligent IPS VideoManager from Securiton. The main feature of the system is the video surveillance of the entire gaming area where the gaming tables and slot machines are located. The replacement of the old system with the new, modern Securiton video solution was made virtually without interruption, as the new system was installed in parallel with the old one. This allowed the switchover from the old technology to the new technology to be made gradually. The new, high-availability Securiton video surveillance system impresses thanks to the high image quality of the fix dome cameras and the fully redundant management system. The dual layout ensures a failure-resistant system and guarantees the highest levels of security.
Incidentally, Securiton also offers the operators of the casino in St. Gallen other ways of ensuring that their business operations are secure. Last year, the old SecuriPro intrusion alarm system was replaced with a modern SecuriSafe system, while the ageing SLS security management system was also replaced with a UMS Gateway.
