Allmendcenter in Frauenfeld

All of the retail space in the Allmendcenter can be accessed directly from the attractive inner atrium, which creates a pleasant, spacious shopping environment. A large glass lift in the main building, glass roof and separate structures give the Allmendcenter a transparent feel and flood it with daylight. Retailers include Coop, Otto’s, TopTip, Dosenbach, Takko Fashion and Blackout. The centre is rounded off by a large fitness centre, food court and office space.

The Frauenfeld-based general contractor HRS commissioned Securiton and Babberger with the installation of a fire detection and sprinkler system. The SecuriFire fire detection and fire alarm system from Securiton ensures that incipient fires are detected immediately and the necessary countermeasures are taken so that the shopping experience remains unspoiled. To achieve this goal, 850 fire detectors divided up into 90 detection zones, 70 hand switches, 60 fire incident controls, 15 smoke removal zones and five sprinkler zones were installed and configured. The sprinkler system from Babberger Brandschutz AG includes 4,300 sprinkler nozzles for protecting the retail, storage and underground parking areas. A network of water pipes measuring 12 kilometres in length was constructed and divided into five alarm valve stations. Additionally, Securiton also protects the ATM installed at the Thurgauer Kantonalbank in the Allmendcenter with its modular SecuriSafe security system.
