The full-service general contractor HRS Real Estate AG was commissioned with the construction of PostFinance's new competence centre. The good working relationship with HRS on other building projects allowed the Securitas Group to put together a winning package for the overall security of the new PostFinance headquarters. Securiton and Contrafeu are responsible in a number of areas for ensuring that PostFinance employees feel safe and secure in their new office environment. Indeed, they are able to rely on a comprehensive solution for fire protection and protection against intrusion. Securiton installed more than 1,100 fire detectors and 66 hand switches, with all the signals from these devices analysed by the tried-and-tested SecuriFire fire alarm system. In the event of a fire a Contrafeu sprinkler system jumps into action to get the fire under control; just under 10 km of pipes were installed for this purpose. The new SecuriSafe security system from Securiton has also been installed to protect against “unwanted visitors”. It features a multitude of detectors to notify the system of any unauthorised access onto the building premises: door contacts, hold-up alarm buttons, motion detectors and seismic microphones register every movement. All the messages are easily processed on the indication and control maps. The intrusion and fire alarm systems also forward any incidents at any time to an alarm control panel. For its security solutions PostFinance has therefore opted to play it safe by relying on “Security from a single source”, thanks to the Securitas Group.
