The DT Swiss success story began in 1994 with a management buy-out of legacy company Vereinigte Drahtwerke Biel. Since then, DT Swiss has developed into an internationally active group of companies with 900 employees. The product range includes spokes, rims and hubs, as well as high-end brakes and brake accessories since the acquisition of Trickstuff GmbH in January 2022. A Swiss manufacturer of high-performance components for sports-oriented bicycles, DT Swiss is renowned for its outstanding product quality in the bicycle industry as well as in the field of fire protection. Its headquarters in Biel/Bienne are protected by an existing Securiton fire detection system, which has been extensively modernised to ensure the highest safety standards.

Built in 2011, the modern headquarters in Biel/Bienne are the hub for around 200 employees and serve as a coordination point for global activities. The architecturally appealing building in the industrial zone combines office, storage and production areas and symbolises DT Swiss’s innovative spirit by underlining the importance of efficiency and aesthetics. As part of the company’s ongoing safety and innovation drive, the fire detection system at the headquarters was completely modernised at the beginning of 2023. We opted for our SecuriFire fire alarm system, which not only offers maximum reliability but also state-of-the-art technology. Both the office building and production facility were equipped with the system, which offers an additional level of safety thanks to the use of combined smoke and fire detectors – the best that the market has to offer.
